Believing it would be an extraordinary musical match, trumpeter Peter Asplund introduced Luciano Mosetti to Anders Färdal. After playing together for nearly two decades, they thought it was about time to finally release their first joint album – ELA. The two have invited their favorite musicians to experiment with various constellations; the trio, quartet, quintet and, perhaps their favorite, the intimate duo. Brazilian rhythms and jazz, American evergreens, a Swedish melody and ballads, as well as an original composition, make for a rich repertoire with a sophisticated feel-good flow.

On European orchestra concert tour, trumpeter and virtuoso harmonicist Luciano Mosetti finished to standing ovations at Stockholm’s premiere venue Operakällaren. It was the mid-Sixties, Sweden was a country of jazz aficionados and they were not about to let the band’s Italian trumpeter disappear.

From the age of four, when he fell in love with the harmonica, Luciano proved a natural musical talent, which music celebs discovered once Sweden became his home. Besides extensive radio and television exposure, Luciano has played leading shows, theaters and concert events with orchestras, ensembles, bands and big bands. His time as a member of the Italian Radio Orchestra in Trieste gave him studio skills that have resulted in hundreds of records with Sweden’s top recording artists.

From his earliest teens, guitarist Anders Färdal knew exactly what he wanted to do for the rest of his life. He relishes that freelance calling because of the freedom to continuously try out new styles and constellations, from solo gigs to big bands and play with a myriad of Swedish artists.

In-depth music studies in Sweden and the United States thrust him into producing and he continues scoring film, commissioned arranging and composing. Anders has a special feeling for one of his critically acclaimed CDs; Playin ́ with Jörgen Smeby. Perhaps it was the simple power of a guitar and bass duo? He thinks the idea of the duo works particularly well with Luciano Mosetti. Collaboration with jazz pianist Birgit Lindberg experiments with both quartet and other line-ups, which thus far has resulted in four CDs and continuous concert tours throughout Sweden and Europe.

With some remarkable FRIENDS –

Upon graduating music school in Manhattan, Isabella has captured souls and hearts as a singer, received three stipends, guested other artists’ CDs and debuted her own album to the applause of reviewers. All, within a year.

An expert at multitasking, Claes had top ten hits while still in school. He resurrected Stockholm’s top nightclub Hamburger Börs, then ran the jazz club Fasching, simultaneously continuing his singing career – now at forty albums and counting.

Gershwin, Mozart, jazz trio or big band can all be part of a day’s work for the musical director, composer, arranger and pianist Carl Orjje. Commissioned work for Swedish Radio, six albums feature film music for Japan and a decade of freelancing in New York are but a small part of his diverse background.

Fine-tuned double bass and electric bass work has had Anders traveling for two decades with artists such as Toots Thielemans, Putte Wickman, Bryan Ferry, Louise Hoffsten, Nils Landgren, Björn Skifs, and the Radio Symphony Orchestra.

Eagle-Eye Cherry, Elvis Costello, Ann-Sofie von Otter and rockers Eldkvarn are just a handful of all that rely on Magnus to keep them on beat and add depth to their work. His vast knowledge and curiosity has progressed to full time composing – a personal genre he has named Ambient World Music.
